We believe that one of the biggest tricks to making your home feel bigger is right there under your feet with your floor. We're not talking about the number of square feet your home has but rather we think that the secret to a space feeling more spacious is the VSF (visible square feet).
This VSF number can be used to your advantage simply by choosing furniture that fits nicely in your home. So that's not choosing the largest sofa just because it will fit, it's about choosing the right sofa for the space that’s important. The space around the sofa is where the visual space is gained.
The key idea behind the floating bed design was to create the illusion that the bed is suspended in the air, without any visible legs or supports. The designers wanted to take this concept even further by eliminating the feet or legs entirely, allowing the floor to flow seamlessly underneath the bed frame.

We initially thought the process would be simple, after all, floating beds have been done before, so it would just take a bit of reverse engineering to figure out how to make one. However, we quickly realized that was not the case. While there are many floating beds on the market, none of them is truly multifunctional. They were simply decorative, without any additional features or functionality.
Our approach is different. We have a strict set of criteria that all our products must meet before we add them to our range. When it comes to beds, storage is a crucial requirement. The problem was, a floating bed with built-in storage did not exist. We had to start from scratch to develop a truly innovative and multifunctional design.
It’s starting from zero that pushes our creativity to the limit, this was a seemingly impossible project that with hard work and determination got off the ground! Seriously, if you refuse to take no for an answer, magical things happen.
More Storage Than Mary Poppins Handbag
It's called Magical, so we're going to milk it for all it's got, and what's more magical than Mary Poppins Handbag? For those of you who don't know the story, Mary Poppins has a handbag that seems, well, impossibly big - in the story she can pull out a hat complete with a hat stand, a mirror and a huge rubber plant, you get the idea… magic!
Storage has always fascinated us, since 2007 we've made it our business to extract the most storage out of every product we've made, not only beds, but sofas and the arms of sofas too. This bed proved a little more tricky, the challenge was how to hide a storage compartment inside a bed that has no sides to hide - like all magic, we needed a lot of smoke and mirrors to pull this one off!
We Created a Floating Bed That’s Pretty Special
The creation of a floating bed was an exciting engineering challenge, and unlike most beds of this style, the team managed to design a free-standing, floating bed that did not require any fixation on walls or floors. This unique feature sets it apart from traditional floating bed designs
The addition of storage makes it unique and gives it a practicality beyond its stunning design. With masses of storage for luggage, and large items, this bed is fabulous in so many ways, it increases your VSF, whilst giving you space for items that you'd normally store elsewhere (taking up valuable space) in a word, this bed is Magical. The Magical storage bed frame is available in both fabric and wood options, and it can be paired with any of our headboard ranges. Currently, we offer it in Continental King size (160 x 200 cm) and UK Super King size (180 x 200 cm), and we plan to add the UK King size (150 x 200 cm) to the range soon too.
