Second time ordering from Furl. Our sofa bed is still going strong after 8 years, plenty of use and two house moves. Ordering the Max bed was straightforward, plenty of options in upholstery material and wood finishes. We were kept abreast of progress in manufacturing the bed and the delivery date was in line with the original estimate. On the day of delivery we received a text giving a delivery window and a phone call 20 minutes before arrival. The installers were excellent. Arrived in Furl branded van, unloaded and carried the components to our flat very carefully. The build was completed quickly and all packaging was removed. They took some time to explain the various features before leaving. 5* service and the bed looks great.

As soon as I walked into Furl King’s Road and met Monika, I felt at ease and confident. Monika is professional and knowledgeable and will give her opinion when asked, which was very valuable. The bed choices are great but I knew I wanted maximum storage. No other bed o had seen combined that kind of storage with this quality. I chose to have the bed frame fabric removable, so I paid a little extra. I wanted to choose a different fabric that matched my curtains and Monika made some excellent suggestions that I chose from. Delivery was 8 weeks exactly as promised. The delivery team were brilliant, respected my home, worked very quickly and cleanly, finished in about an hour and took all the packaging. They were also very knowledgeable about the bed mechanism and care and gave me good information and advice. The visit to the showroom was perfect: arranged quickly to suit us, no hard-selling. All very informative and low-key. Order placed for double, light oak max storage bed with no fuss, and bed duly delivered slightly ahead of schedule. We opted for self-assembly as not quite ready (needed painting in room finishing), but assembly was straightforward and hitch-free except we were 4 big screws short- got some more locally. There were other bits in there we didn't need- presumably one kit of bits and bobs fits all. The bed is fantastic for storage, and the mattress has been declared extremely comfortable by my son (whose bed it is) and several guests (for whom he has had to vacate his room and bed). We will probably order another the same, as it is such a well-made, practical piece of furniture, and our daughter is very envious of her brother's bed. The communication with the office staff was very good, too. Altogether, a very positive experience and nice to support a (fairly) local business. I would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

We've had our storage bed for over a month now and we are absolutely delighted! We went for the Simplicity Max Super King with Memory Flex mattress and integrated Lines headboard - the bed is very comfortable, the storage capacity is huge, the quality of the materials & construction is first class and it looks great! I was concerned there may be some level of compromise between a good night's sleep and having somewhere to put all the stuff that was cluttering up our flat but not now - our new bed is definitely the best of both. The whole process of buying the bed was easy too - the fabric samples we requested and the design we had fun building on the website matched exactly what we ended up with, the delivery was well coordinated, the two guys who delivered it were on time, careful, polite and helpful - due to some logistical issues with our old bed, I had elected to assemble the new bed myself and they gave me some tips on how to do so. Having said that, the bed went together very easily and with every screw and bolt hole lining up perfectly, the build was very satisfying and the result is as solid as a rock. We had originally planned to use the bed to store things we don't need very often (like suitcases) but the opening mechanism is so easy and strong that we are using it for all kinds of stuff and access it daily - opening the bed doesn't even disturb the duvet! This was by no means the cheapest storage bed we could have bought but the quality is in a different league compared to those we saw in various showrooms - I'm so glad we stretched our budget a bit as I think we have a perfect bed that may just last forever! It is more expensive than some beds advertised but it is easy to open and close daily and it looks fabulous. David is obviously passionate about his products and patiently answered all our questions during our many visits. The bed was ready before schedule and Paul and Simon put it up very quickly with a smile and overshoes. The only thing is I wish Paul and Simon had warned us how heavy it is once assembled as the bed is blocking the only socket in the room... Also we almost bought their best selling mattress but in the end opted for a memory foam mattress from another leading London shop: I think that the Storage Bed Company could possibly improve their mattress selection? These beds are absolutely superb, ruggedly built and rock solid with no flexing, squeaking or creaking. It was a great investment that will last for decades (I'd recommend the removable covering option that enables the upholstery to be removed and inexpensively replaced in case of redecorating, moving home or cosmetic damage). More expensive than other storage beds on the market that you find in the large retail parks, but the level of quality and additional storage space makes the Storage Bed company's beds vastly better value for money. We only have praise for The Storage Bed Company. Having already purchased one of their beds previously (a Max, 5 years ago and still perfect) , when it came to replace our spare bed it was the only sensible choice. We chose the Max again. It is a great product with superb levels of storage as well as one of the largest ranges of fabrics, available for the base, that we have ever seen. Yes, you MAY be able to find cheaper alternatives but we have to say that this, in our opinion, is a false economy. You cannot fault the quality of their products. We are sure they will outlast any other makes. We were slightly concerned when it arrived as we had recently had the hallway and stairwell redecorated as well as having a new beech and glass stair rail fitted. However, the care and attention given by the fitters (we won't call them delivery drives; these guys KNOW what they are doing) completely put our minds at ease. The fact that the Max bed itself comes in separate pieces made there job a little easier but still they covered everywhere they were walking with sheeting, put pads behind items while resting them against our newly papered walls and wore protective covers over their footwear ( a nice touch as we have a new white stair carpet!). They constructed the bed in next to no time and did a great job of clearing up after themselves. They even helped us to move 2 sofas back into our conservatory. Our final words on The Storage Bed Company; they are great to deal with, have a superb range of quality products and have people that care about what they are doing. We are really pleased with our storage beds. We have two Max beds, 180cm and 150cm. We have the Horizon headboard in a custom height of 150cm from the floor. They look grand! We are so pleased with the build quality of the beds and the quality of the upholstery; they look amazing. Operation of the beds is so easy and smooth. We shopped around high end shops now offering storage beds and nothing compares or even comes close. Not to mention, we've stored everything we planned and have loads of room left. I bought two max double storage beds as I hate clutter and was desperately short of space in our two bed flat. My main concern was that they might look a bit 'heavy', but I need not have worried - they're absolutely fab. The quality is 5 out 5. On average we lift the beds at least once a week and it never feels like a chore as the operating mechanism is smooth and slick. From day one I've slept like a baby as the mattresses are extremely deep and comfortable. Lead time was longer than we've become accustomed to, but they were definitely worth the wait. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a smart storage solution coupled with a lux bed.

My bed arrived in just under 4 weeks. I ordered the Max with a latex mattress. I have had 2 back operations this year and needed a comfortable bed with easily accessible storage underneath. I looked at many storage beds but none had the storage capacity of this bed and no others were easy to lift. A visit to their lovely London showroom is a must - you will be amazed at the variety of fabrics, beds, mattresses, sofa beds, ottomans etc. David and his staff were extremely helpful. You are free to look around and there is no "hard sell". The men who came to install the bed were quick, friendly and efficient. I've had this bed only two days but my sleep has improved enormously. The mattress is fantastic and provides the support I need without being too hard or too soft. I love it so much that I will be ordering another one. Overall Fantastic.

Previously had an ottoman bed that needed replacing and when looking for a storage bed came across Furl. Visited all the usual retailers but none came close to quality and the storage capacity of the Max frame. Visited the London showroom and was very impressed with the range and the laid back feel. The process to order was quick and easy and it's refreshing to know there are still British companies selling quality British made furniture. The delivery team couldn't be more friendly and efficient and spoke highly of the company. The bed has met everything we required and have had many great nights sleep on it since!

Just wanted to leave a review for the Furl team, from visiting the show room to ordering the bed everything was easy. The quality of these beds and the customer service is a credit to all at Furl. The options available for the max bed we purchased enabled us to get a good quality bespoke bed and mattress for less than we would have paid at a high street department store. the bed was a finishing touch to our recent bedroom extension. The fitters from Furl were exceptional compared to the other tradesmen who have visited, from the moment they stepped into the house they slipped on protective shoe covers and took great care when moving the components into the room. Once built they showed us the bed working and tided up every bit of packaging leaving no mess behind. If only all tradesmen were this efficient. To sum it up; from help choosing at the showroom to delivery everything about Furl was top class.

We have had our Simplicity Max Super Kingsize storage bed for several months now. We made a visit to the showroom before purchasing to see the quality of the construction in person before buying and we weren't disappointed. We spent a considerable time trying out the different mattress options and chose the Latex 750 which gives a wonderful nights sleep - like resting on very supportive clouds. We had to rearrange delivery a couple of times due to decorators not finishing on time but the team were very accommodating. Delivery was prompt on the chosen date and fitting was carried out efficiently and cleanly. We chose the deeply headboard to be wall mounted. Please note that the fitters will not fix your headboard to the wall and this really was the only tricky part of the assembly. We needed to fix to a lathe and plaster wall and the fixings provided were not sufficient to take the weight. In retrospect we should have had the headboard fitted to the bed itself although this meant it wouldn't have been flush against the wall. Also with regard to the headboard, I had chosen the largest size 91 cm but it actually measured a few cm less. I queried this but was told that the size was an average and differed to ensure symmetry of the diamonds between the buttons. In the end it didn't really make too much difference. The storage is fantastic , although it is in danger of becoming a dumping ground for everything since we emptied our loft. However I do find it a bit heavy to lift with the super Kingsize latex mattress in place. I wonder how I will manage as I get older as it takes all my strength with two hands to lift if my husband isn't on hand. Overall though it is a beautiful, comfortable and very useful bed which I would recommend to anyone. David made the whole experience feel personalised and he was extremely helpful at every stage. When downsizing and moving from a house to a new flat we discovered that our wardrobes and two closets were quickly filled up with items that we needed on a daily basis. We were therefore forced to look for some additional space to store occasionally used bulky things (luggage, coats, winter bedding) and decided on a storage bed solution. The bed extends beyond the king size mattress by only few centimetres while providing really cavernous storage space - it miraculously fitted within our rather small bedroom. We have been very pleased with our bed. It is very stylish and of good quality. We purchased the Max in the king size as we wanted the biggest storage underneath and it has made a huge difference to space in the bedroom and ease of which to find an item in the storage area. These beds are expensive but it will last a long time and not fall to bits like cheaper versions.

Simply great. Our Max bed with Alto opening has been one of the best pieces of furniture we have ever bought. The service from talking us through the different options at the showroom in London to delivering and assembling the bed (including coming back to fit a part that had broken even though it didn't stop the bed from working and we couldn't see it) was outstanding. The only thing to watch out for is that the cat jumps straight in to snuggle down when I open it up and I don't always check she has left before putting the top down (no harm done so far).

My fiancé and I had been researching beds for some time before we stumbled across 'The Storage Bed Company' online a few years ago, which has since been renamed to Furl. We visited the showroom in Neasden and were very impressed - the owner was present on the day and was extremely knowledgeable about his products. The amount of storage in all of the beds, but specifically the Max, was significant and just what we required (for my ridiculously-sized shoe collection!). We had to wait a bit before we decided to order but when we returned to the showroom a couple of years later, the owner was there again and just as enthusiastic about his products, which is fantastic to see. We purchased a king-size Max storage bed with end-opening mechanism, 'Deeply' headboard, oak feet, electronic security box and dust cover in 'Linen' fabric. On the day of delivery, 2 men assembled the bed within 30 minutes and were very professional and courteous, and did not leave any mess or packaging behind. The build of the bed is excellent, and it is very sturdy. I am extremely pleased I bought the electronic safe as well, it's been so useful. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the bed and would not hesitate to recommend purchasing from Furl. I would suggest a visit to their showroom if you are able, just to meet with the owner and see the vast array of fabrics on offer.

I was very pleased with the Furl experience, the bed arrived on time and is very comfortable. We got the Max Bed with a 60cm headboard and Luxury 1500 mattress. The only thing I would suggest is going for the integrated headboard instead of fixed with the two wooden planks one like we did, as there is quite a big gap between the mattress and the headboard so not ideal esthetically and it moves a bit which we got used to but in the beginning got us worried it was going to break every time we leaned against it. Otherwise great service, both at the showroom and during the delivery, would definitely recommend!

My Max double bed with Lines headboard, plus the Luxury 1500 mattress were delivered 11months ago, so I have had many very comfortable nights on them. The whole process of looking at beds at the showroom, reviewing material samples posted to me, ordering what I wanted, and then delivery and speedy assembly, was really painless and easy. The amount of storage is quite amazing, and has made such a difference to the available space in my apartment. The only problem I have had is that the M&S flat double sheets that I bought are slightly too small because of the thickness of the mattress, and I will order the next size up in future. My son stayed at my house for a couple of nights, and I let him sleep in the bed while I used the spare bed, and he loved the comfort so much that I've promised to buy him a furl bed when he gets married next year. The furl beds are well worth the price to guarantee many years of comfortable sleep, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Worth every penny.... On visiting the showroom, I was immediately impressed by the quality of the beds. But, like me, there must be people thinking, "This is not a cheap bed". Nevertheless, I thought this offered better value compared to anything else on the high street (especially if you are looking for a storage bed). Having had the max for a few weeks, I am still delighted with the sturdiness of the bed, superior lifting mechanism, and above all, how good it looks in my room as it was fully customised to my preferences. I know this will last a lifetime, and I have no regrets making this purchase. Storage beds are such a benefit in small houses and flats, and Furl makes quality products, made the way you need them. Having researched extensively online there are not many companies selling quality storage beds. The Max bed has lots of storage and a super comfortable mattress. I suggest booking a visit to the showroom, as they can answer your questions and you can test the beds. The delivery/ assembly team arrived on time, which is not always the case with other firms. Highly recommended

I bought the Max Storage bed and the Metro sofa from Furl. I loved being able to fully customise the furniture online and pick from a wide range of fabrics as well. The quality of the delivered furniture is very high - the sofa is very comfortable to sit and sleep on and the lift up storage mechanism for the storage bed works very smoothly (and the storage space is huge!). Service was fantastic from start to finish - communication around delivery times, arranging the delivery during lockdown, and the guys who finally delivered and assembled it did a great job as well and left the rooms clean and tidy. Bought two Furl Max+ storage beds over several months. Broadly speaking, happy, despite the second, smaller bed costing more than the original due to price inflation. Positives: the beds are well designed, elegant, space-saving, robust, have changeable covers, are UK-made, - and do the job. The delivery crew gave a courtesy call an hour before arrival and arrived on time. A few minor gripes, however: 1. Please ask delivery staff not to rest bed materials against customers' walls - it marks them. 2. Delivery for the second bed was approximately 20 days over the estimated delivery date, which is a disappointment, given the price paid. 3. The on-hold telephone voice does not sound warm enough and should be replaced with a professional voice-over who can suitably convey and represent the business's values.

I have my max bed for 3 months and it is amazing and I'm over the moon. The quality and the storage are excellent. Great shop assistants and delivery team. Everything come on time and it was quickly assembled. From feater which gave me very helpful guidance how to used. I would definitely recommend and buy again from Furl.

Paid extra for the max storage bed, and is worth every penny! I have emptied the contents of cupboard into my storage bed and still have space left!!! Comfortable to sleep on, beautifully well made and put together. The guys who delivered and installed the bed were excellent, they removed their shoes before entering the flat, very professional, polite, chatty and we’re very happy for me to watch them put the bed together. Spacious but doesn't look like a storage bed

It took a long time (over two months, even though I paid extra for faster shipping) but I'm really pleased with how much I can fit under there and it doesn't look obviously like a storage bed, just a slightly boxy box-spring. I've got box-files, toolkits, 2 suitcases and lots of bedding under there, it really helps de-clutter. And it supports my 75kg mattress that I already had fine. The storage space goes right down to the floor (covered by a fabric liner). I would say don't bother getting the feet, unless you really like them because they're hard to see and it looks fine without them. If you want a really non-storage looking bed, the mirage looks great but sacrifices some storage space.

Perfect bed

Intuitive website allowed me to specify everything I wanted my bed to be. Was sent an email 10 days before delivery to let me know that my bed was ready, which gave me plenty of time to prepare. Then on delivery day, was given a time estimate for delivery. Two engineers arrived and installed the bed very quickly, they were polite and careful with my property. I needed to rotate the storage mechanism afterwards and was able to do it myself fairly easily, but Furl also offered to come and do this for me which was nice. First night using the bed was perfect, best night sleep I've had in a long time. Thank you Furl!

Super King Max Storage Bed

We got another max storage bed so when we moved to a larger property we new we wanted another one. Even though we had more space, with a growing family this bed has the best storage space (with easiest access!) All of our suitcases and other items which aren’t used often are all tidied away but readily accessible (rather than going into the loft!) This is the perfect bed for any sized space!

Huge storage Very well made. Love the bespoke options

The storage area is huge and far more useful than sliding things under our old bed and being encased they will be far less dusty. Everything stored underneath is easy to access at last. Being a good quality and able to choose lots of options clinched the deal for me.

Most capacious storage bed on the market

I am delighted with my Furl storage bed. It is very capacious and easy to use. I have had it for over a year now and the fabric has proved heard wearing and has retained its beautiful finish. I have just had the Max storage double bed delivered and I am pleased beyond words. Furl was recommended to my by my bedroom designer Claudia Dorsch and I am so glad she did. As soon as I walked into Furl King’s Road and met Monika, I felt at ease and confident. Monika is professional and knowledgeable and will give her opinion when asked, which was very valuable. The bed choices are great but I knew I wanted maximum storage. No other bed o had seen combined that kind of storage with this quality. I chose to have the bed frame fabric removable, so I paid a little extra. I wanted to choose a different fabric that matched my curtains and Monika made some excellent suggestions that I chose from. Delivery was 8 weeks exactly as promised. The delivery team were brilliant, respected my home, worked very quickly and cleanly, finished in about an hour and took all the packaging. They were also very knowledgeable about the bed mechanism and care and gave me good information and advice. I spent more than I was going to originally on the bed but it’s worth every penny and it would be hard to buy from anywhere else. Icing on the cake!!! Made in the UK. Brilliant quality and service, thank you team Furl

Our new bed is just perfect

I love that the bed comes in pieces, so if any gets damaged, we can just replace it. The bed is exactly what we wanted, the under storage is ample and the mattress is the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. I am very impressed with the quality
