Tokyo is often cited as the big city with the smallest apartments. Known for its extremely high population density and limited space, many apartments in Tokyo, especially in central areas, are incredibly small even by London standards.
We've always been good at small, most of our products are designed for the space conscious, we believe that furniture should fit the space perfectly and without compromise on comfort. In designing Tokyo, we took inspiration from a city well known for its demands on space, but also detail and function.
This isn't the most minimalist sofa bed, but it is one of our smallest, the clever design allows you to have a comfortable seat, with generous arms, and whilst most sofas which have a tapered arm design are bigger, Tokyo, is not. We inverted the taper on the arm to take up less space, and to allow for a padded arm cushion which adds a layer of comfort we know you will enjoy.
If ever there was a city that never sleeps, I think Tokyo would be up there, but we all have to sleep at some point, and this sofa bed delivers an exceptional sleep experience when do you. When transformed into a bed, you get a full and proper-sized thick mattress up to 18cm to be precise.
Changing the perception that sofa beds are uncomfortable is no easy task, especially since most of us have had less-than-pleasant experiences with them. But when we began designing sofa beds in 2007, enhancing the sleeping experience was our top priority. We carefully identified the major factors affecting sleep quality on a sofa bed, and we tackled them one by one.

When you need to sleep well, the choice of mattress is important to ignore. Designed for the ultimate sleep experience, not only are they the thickest but also the longest at almost 2m long.

Depending on the available space, choose the arm that fits.
Consider this: A medium sofa with standard arms has the same footprint as a large sofa with ultra slim arms! What's more important, a bigger bed and seat or a sofa with thick arms.... just a thought!
