Our beds are designed around you and your space, whether you have one bedroom flat or a something larger, we have a storage bed that will fit you and your space perfectly.
Dont be forced into thinking you need a special mattress for a storage bed, you don't ( well not with ours). Furl storage beds have the most sturdy frame with orthopedic slats, that can handle any mattress.
We designed our beds in sections, for ease of access into your room and easy assembly, which we take care of. When its time to move on, to a bigger place or city, we've thought of that too. Our beds disassemble and reassemble perfectly each time.
We've been making our wood beds for a long time, we used to be so proud that we used solid wood, a tree would arrive at our workshops, we'd lovingly cut, plane, sand and shape the tree into a bed, it was a beautiful thing.
In 2019, wood prices increased so much that we had to stop offering wood beds, they were simply not affordable so we had a break, and a rethink. The reason for the increase in cost was not greedy lumberjacks, it was driven by short supply, this was a sustainability issue that we had to address.
After a break of almost 3 years, we re-introduced our wood beds using FSC, sustainable real wood veneers, at close inspection an expert might see a slight difference, but the quality or our beds improved significantly, its reduced waste by 60%, the cost is now affordable and the structure of the bed is more stable.
We feel a certain responsibility when working with wood, we treat it with respect, we value the time its taken to grow and we want it to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
