The comparison
The deepest ottoman bed we could find from each of the UK's best-known bed brands. Most of them don't publish their storage depth, so we called or visited each one to find out.
Striped bar: Furl bases built deeper to order, 50cm, 55cm and more. Frame: the thickness of the base sides. Every Furl frame is 2cm, so more of the bed is storage and less is frame. Frame figures for Heal's, John Lewis, Button & Sprung and Dusk are taken from their published dimension drawings. Not published or not stated: the brand doesn't give the figure.
