If you're a designer — or already have a fabric you love — you can supply your own. Our COM (Customer's Own Material) option is straightforward: we'll provide all the technical specifications you need to ensure everything fits and performs exactly as it should.

Some of our fabrics — including Omega Velvet, Natural Leather and Saddle Recycled Leather — are inherently flame resistant, meaning they meet UK fire safety standards through their fibre composition alone, with no chemical treatment required. Others achieve compliance through FR treatment, as is standard across the UK furniture industry. We dispatch samples within 1–2 working days and most arrive within 5–7 days. There's no minimum order, no commitment, and no catch — just order, try them at home, and decide when you're ready.

Yes — every sample comes from the same material used on our finished furniture, including sofa beds, storage beds and tables. What you hold in your hand is exactly what your piece will be made from.

Up to 8 at a time, completely free. If you want to try more after seeing the first batch, simply place another order. We'd rather you take the time to get it right than rush a decision you'll live with for years.

It depends on the pet. For dogs or general wear and tear, our Omega Velvet is genuinely bombproof — tightly woven, highly durable, and it doesn't show hair the way loose weaves do. Our House Fabric range is treated with FibreGuard stain protection, which handles most spills and muddy paws well. If you have a cat that scratches, we'd steer you away from leather — claws and leather don't mix. Omega Velvet is again the better call: it resists snagging far better than most fabrics at this price point.

Durability is measured by Martindale rub count — the higher the number, the harder-wearing the fabric. For everyday use, look for 30,000 or above. Our Omega Velvet sits well above that threshold and is one of the toughest fabrics in our range. Easy Velvet is another strong performer. For the ultimate low-maintenance option, leather and recycled leather are hard to beat — they age well, clean easily, and don't pill or snag over time.
