A continental king, sometimes called a Euro king, takes a 160 × 200cm mattress. It's the perfect size when you'd love a super king but don't quite have the room. It's only 10cm wider than a UK king, but when you're lying down, those 10cm really make a difference. The whole base lifts to reveal storage underneath: up to 35cm deep on the Max, or 40cm with the Plus option. End lift, side lift or electric, so it opens easily whatever your mattress weighs.

Our continental king ottoman beds take a 160 × 200cm mattress. The frame adds just 4cm, so most are 164 × 204cm, or 210cm long with a headboard. Our wooden beds are a couple of centimetres bigger.
