Every Furl storage bed comes without a headboard as standard. Add one of our designs if you want it, fit your own — wall-mounted, panelled, inherited — or leave the bed clean and let the wall do the work. The choice sits with you, not with the bed.
People choose to leave the headboard off for several reasons. Cost — the bed is cheaper without one. Space — a headboard adds 8–15cm of length the room may not have. Low ceilings, where a tall headboard fills the upper third of the wall. Or simply because the wall is already doing the work — panelled, papered, or holding a headboard that came with the room.
Whatever the answer, all four of our storage beds work either way. Made to order in our Nottingham workshop, in any size from single through Emperor, in 100s of fabrics. Add a headboard later if you change your mind.
