Symmetry, it’s all around us, it makes us feel calm and safe, it puts everything into an order that kind of feels natural. So, breaking this order to create a new bed was rather exciting! The idea started from seeing a post on Instagram of a piece of cake, yes, a cake! - From the moment we saw it we knew it could make the basis of a great bed design. Abstract, from the outside, is a stunning bed. You would never know that this is a storage bed, and thats the beauty of it, its kind of there, but not, all together a bit abstract, you can view the bed as an amazing place to store your things or just a beautiful bed.
There’s certainly nothing abstract about the storage it offers, you get an unbelievable 33 cm of depth (that’s 1000 cubic litres in a King size bed).
Another one of our secrets is in the wooden feet detailing, it appears there is space underneath, but it’s simply an illusion. The storage compartment actually goes all the way to the floor which maximises the storage and enhances the overall design.
