Amazing product. I spent many hours researching quality sofa beds, and it was worth it. The pocket sprung mattress is reasonably firm and very comfortable. The mechanism is easy to use, and the footprint of the bed it much smaller than most other sofa beds, despite the bed being bigger.
The best feature for me is that there are no cushions to find a home for when using as a bed - they all stay attached and simple for underneath the bed. Mattress protector and sheet can be left on the bed when it is folded away, but duvet and pillows must be removed.
We have a medium metro, which is larger than a standard double, however because the mattress is slightly less deep, standard double fitted sheets fit well.
Delivery and installation was carried out by Furl. It too about 20mins. They gave me a good demonstration, tips on operation and moving the sofa, and took all the rubbish away when they were done.
Expensive, but well worth the extra.

The very best storage bed on the market - and we looked every where! Great choice, very very well made and an excellent price. We weren't sure about the mattresses as they seemed so cheap - but we are very happy (now one year on) with the top of the range pocket sprung King size mattress we bought - cost £500. It's well made and very comfy (threw away the Sonos £1600 mattress we hated!)
You will not be disappointed. David is excellent and happy to open the sales showroom on a Saturday.

Fantastic build quality, fantastic customer service and fantastic fitting team.
I had my sofa bed created by Furl and at the time of ordering, their smallest bed was 5cm bigger than the gap of which I wanted the sofa in my premises. I spoke to David and he assured me if I passed on a message stating to ensure the sofa was made within the given size, it would be.
The day of delivery arrived and the fitting team were quick, tidy and extremely pleasant. Safe to say, the sofa fitted like a glove with 1cm each side of clearance. Perfect!!
Granted, it's an expensive investment but the build quality and craftsmanship is just brilliant. You get what you pay for.
I'd never hesitate in recommending the Sofa beds to anyone and you also get a fantastic nights sleep on the pocket sprung mattress which I opted for.

I had endured numerous nights on temporary beds in other people's houses and in our own when family came to stay. We live in Norfolk and had got to the stage when family would take over the upstairs and we would sleep downstairs on a blow up bed. I had just retired and was looking forward to seeing more of the family so investigated sofa beds.
The claims of FURL that they combined a comfortable sofa with a well built bed base and a pocket sprung mattress convinced me to arrange a visit with my wife to their Wembley showroom to try out different models, and combine it with a visit to the theatre.
The visit proved very useful as there were a number of other couples and families all doing their own searches. This was a hands on experience on different sizes, shapes and materials with sample books to flick through. At the end of a couple of hours and listening to the comments of other people, we left to go home with samples and measurements.
We placed an order for a two seater Milano sofabed having come down to earth and realised we only live in a small cottage and needed to match colours, choosing a green linen finish.
The order was placed with a deposit at the start of September and delivery was in November. The van arrived earlier than indicated, and assembly was satisfactory with only one retaining screw having to be repositioned.
The sofabed was used at Christmas for a few days leaving the jury out. We have just slept on it for 7 consecutive nights this August and are very pleased with its comfort at night, its ease of tidying up and stowing it away in the morning. Meanwhile it has served as a very comfortable sofa in our living room for us and our monthly book group.

First off, Furl sofabeds are no in any way inexpensive. You can get a sofa bed for a fraction of the price. However, that is where the comparison ends. The sofa beds from Furl are (in the main) hand made and of very good quality. The actual sofa part is comfortable to sit on and serves well as a sofa (unlike some sofa beds where the cushions 'collapse' when you sit on them. The sofa bed mechanism is superb and one of the best (if not THE best), that I have seen. The action is flawless and easy to operate, even if you don't have huge upper body strength. We had house guests for several weeks sleeping on this and they could not say enough good things about it. We upgraded to a pocket sprung mattress, which provided additional comfort (in my opinion). A superb product that proves (as per my first line), that you do indeed get what you pay for. Also, don't be concerned about unusually narrow doors. The sofa is delivered in component form.. the mechanism is on one piece, but other pieces 'join on' and can be easily removed if moving rooms or house. Assembly was easy, as we paid extra for it, bit it should be possible for someone with basic DIY skills. The delivery crew actually work for Furl, have a Furl branded van, etc. You are buying Furl and it is installed by Furl, so even the delivery and assembly guys have a sense of pride in the company and product. We will certainly buy from Furl again.

I searched hard for options for a wall-bed - though expensive, Furl stood out for quality and the number of options. It was good to be able to tailor the RAL colour of the bed to match the RAL colour we'd used on adjoining walls and cupboards.
I'm still wondering how to fit some small reading lights inside the frame - these would be a great feature to provide.
Guests have been very comfortable on the pocket sprung mattress - our friends and relatives are now largely past sleeping on flimsy sofa beds.
Thank you.
