Our bed base designs have varying amounts of storage. We have six styles – Simplicity, Low, Air, Plus, Illusion and Max. Max being our bestseller with the maximum amount of storage that we offer. Max actually has 35cm of storage that can even be increased to 40cm if you add the ‘Max Plus’ option. Which is a huge amount of storage – you can store away your suitcases, car seats and all of those shoes you just absolutely needed. Every bed has the same footprint, so that doesn’t need to influence your decision. You just simply pick the amount of storage you need, or the bed that you like the most.
As our small double bed with storage is made to order, you can have them made in fabric, leather or wood. You also decide if you would like to add a headboard to your small double lift up storage bed. If you add an integrated headboard, you will need to add the depth of the headboard onto the overall length of the bed. If you have a small room, then you could perhaps look at our non-integrated headboards. They are mounted to the bed using sticks, or can even be wall mounted, helping to save a little bit of space in your room. You also decide if you would like your small double bed with mattress and storage, or without a mattress at all. We have all of our mattress options available to test at our London Showroom.
It can get quite confusing, as there are few different bed sizes with the word ‘double’. Four foot beds with storage are great for those who want a little more space than a single, but don’t quite have enough room to fit a British Double.
A Small Double bed has a mattress size of 120cm wide x 190cm long, or 4ft wide x 6ft3 long. Although we keep our frames as slim as we can do, our bed footprints are slightly larger than the mattress.
