Following the commanding position is one of the most important principles of Feng Shu. You are in command of your life when you are in the commanding position.
This is when you will receive the most positive energy and the best opportunities. So make sure to apply this principle to the location of your bed.
You should be able to see the door from your bed, but it must not be in line with it. If your bedroom is too small to achieve this, position a mirror so you can still see the door from your bed.
Not having your bed directly opposite the door will make you feel safer and more secure whilst sleeping.
If you can avoid it, try not to position your bed underneath a window, particularly if it’s on the ground floor, which can emphasise a feeling of insecurity.
You must have a headboard, which must be against the wall. A solid headboard fastened to the bed creates harmony and stability.
