8 Teddy Bear Storage Ideas for Kid’s Bedrooms

1. Teddy Bear Hammock

A teddy bear hammock is great for small spaces. Wall-mounted storage frees up space on the floor, so there’s still plenty of room for playing!

If your kids still play with the toys you’ll be storing in the hammock, consider putting it at a child-friendly height so they have easy access to their favourite stuffed animals. You could make it within easy reach from their bed, or lower down the wall elsewhere in the room.

There are plenty of affordable teddy bear, princess dolls, and stuffed animal hammocks around, but if you’re feeling confident, you also have the option of making your own using sturdy netting and wall clips.

2. Teddy Bear Chairs and Bean Bags

This has got to be up there as one of the all-time best ideas for teddy storage – an empty bean bag you can stuff with cuddly toys.

Not only is it easy to re-fill (simply stuff it with teddies in any order), but stuffed animal bean bag chairs also double up as somewhere to sit. This is ideal for creating a chill-out zone for kids who want a quiet place to read with their favourite teddy bears.

It also means that a whole load of teddy bears are hidden out of sight (a win for any parent who is trying to keep on top of tidying their kid’s bedrooms!).

3. Blanket Box/Ottoman Box Storage

Soft toy storage ideas don’t come much easier than this one. Blanket boxes (or Ottoman Boxes) are great for storing kids’ toys, spare bedding, and blankets.

The hinged lid makes for a quick and easy tidy-up time at the end of the day. Open the lid and get your kids to throw their cuddly toys inside; you could even make a game out of it.

4. Furl Kid’s Storage Bed

Don’t waste the space under your bed! Drawers on casters that can be rolled in and out are great, but if you really want to utilise every available square inch of space, a lift-up bed with storage under the mattress is even better.

Furniture that doubles up as storage makes the most of the room you’ve got available without taking up any additional space.

You’d be surprised how much you can fit in a single ottoman bed, and it’s dust-free! The space inside a storage bed is sealed off and easy to lift for kid’s, too, which makes it ideal for storing toys and teddy bears.

5. Over-the-door Shoe Organiser (for Teddy Bears)

This storage idea for teddies is a winner! Not only does it utilise space you probably weren’t using, but over-the-door shoe organisers are relatively cheap to buy, saving you money and precious floor space.

Thanks to the transparent pockets on a shoe organiser, kids can see what’s in each pouch, so it’s easy for them to pick out their favourite teddy. You could even sort them into rows by colour or size.

6. Stuffed Animal Zoo (Disney Pricesses are welcome, too)

Soft toy storage that looks like a zoo cage – what could be more fun for little kids?

This teddy bear storage idea appeals to the imagination of small children; it makes a great prop for role-playing with their teddies.  The bungee chords stop the animals from escaping but are stretchy enough to make it easy for little hands to pull out their chosen teddy.

If you’re feeling confident, there are plenty of video tutorials and blog posts out there that show you how to make your own stuffed animal cages.

7. Shelf With Bungee Chords (for bears to hang around in)

If your kids are a little bit older and they’ve got a few teddies that hold sentimental value, then a shelf is a great place to display them. Adding a bungee chord to the front of your shelf will keep them in place and save you from picking them up off the floor every five minutes – genius!

8. Storage baskets for Teddy Bears

The humble basket is last on this list of teddy bear storage ideas, an obvious but effective way of storing cuddly toys. Baskets come in various styles with plenty of materials and colours to suit the decor of your child’s room.

One of the great things about baskets is that they’re easy to fill, so just like the blanket boxes we introduced earlier, even the littlest members of your family can get involved in tidying up.
